Β Tramore is your classic, large, holiday resort type beach. Located near to the town centre, the beach has good access from a slip way which brings you onto hard sand when the tide is out.

The beach here is big and open and, at about 5 kilometres long, you can play football, hurling or even do a bit of swimming. Keep an eye on the tide as when it is out you will do a good bit of walking for your swim. Correspondingly, the tide comes right up to the wall and covers the beach which won’t do you much good if you arrive with children looking to play in the sand.

Tramore is quite an open beach and it does get windy. At the end near the town you will get some shelter when the tide is out, otherwise do bring a windbreak.

Lifeguards are on duty during the summer months.

The beach is buggy and wheelchair accessible from the slipway near the town.

Right behind the beach is a promenade, car park and across the road is the amusement park. Nearby are the usual chips shops and fast food take aways.

Blue Flag beach.
